This is then yours truly, I'm the man behind Teh-Madman.com and all of the photography that's displayed on the site. For my main jobs I'm first-most a pro gamer, I primarily play for myself, which means not in a clan or anything. I'm also attending school at Roskilde Teknisk Skole for Webintegration, and this entire site is solely built and maintained by me.
I started doing cosplays about 4 years ago when I got in touch with Casper Jensen who now runs Cosmag.dk and got invited to J-popcon '06 back then, I had never done cosplay - but I loved the show Naruto and the character Jiraiya - The Mountain Frog Pervy Sage, so I took on the task and made a cosplay for it. It was alot of fun at the convention when I showed up, even though I one of the "con-helpers" I really enjoyed my time and opened up my eyes for cosplay and anime/manga to a further extent.

Because I've always had a passion for photography I recently decided that I'll dedicate my free-time when I'm not in study or gaming to cosplay and photography, and after a short while I thought, "Why not combine the two passions." So that's what I did, I managed to get a Canon 450D before J-popcon '08 and use it a bit before for practice and getting into the whole thing, and I decided that I'd try as much as possible to take cosplay photography during J-popcon '08, I came home with over 10.000 pictures, thank god. So that's when my passion for both hobbies really bloomed, now I want to do quality cosplays and quality photography for the fans.

I'm gonna tell you a bit about how I work, what I use when i do photography and what I/you could expect.
Currently my Camera is a Canon 450D, 12.2 Mg. Pixels and a good format conversion, it works really well and is a great dSLR "beginner" camera.
at this point I only have the kit lens, the 18-55mm 3.5/5.6F lens, it works good and gives great result as long the front of the lens is maintained.
The way I work, I try to understand what the cosplayer wants, usually I would know the series the cosplayer is from if we've talked about doing a photoshoot. I would research into the character and the manga/anime the character is featured in just to understand what kind of personality the character has, so that I can take pictures that runs with that personality. I also tend to try different angles and different variations of pictures. Even though a character is mainly featured in urban environment, sometimes I could ask if there would be a chance to try maybe a flowery enviroment to draw out a more feminine side of the character.
